Re: GRIB2 to ARL with Eccodes
Hi, I am using the Linux version, which does not seem to have a pre-compiled api2arl. So I am trying to compile using "Makefile" in the folder /hysplit_ubuntu/data2arl/api2arl. I have amended the "top_builddir" variable in the Makefile script so to link my local installation of eccodes. However, whe...

Re: Problem with emission location
Strange, I am sure I attached it.
I am trying again. It's not very far, still it's not negligible...
Thanks

Problem with emission location
Dear community, I've noticed that the emission location displayed with "concplot" is always a bit different from where it is meant to be. See attached output for example. The emission location in my case should be Eyjafjallajokull volcano. I've used the official coordinates you can find here: http:/...

GRIB2 to ARL with Eccodes
Hi, is it possible to convert GRIB2 files to ARL using Eccodes instead of grib-api? I would like to use the GFS 0.25 degrees 1-hourly data. I am aware of this: ftp://arlftp.arlhq.noaa.gov/archives/gfs0p25/. However, I think this is 3-hourly and refers to the 00z run only, unless I am wrong. Thanks R...

Re: Time varying source
OK now it works, thanks. I am running with the GUI. However, when reverting back to the previous case (emissions changing with a 1 hr cycle), it does not work anymore. I am really getting mad this time, I don't see why. I am using exactly the same EMITIMES file that worked previously, and everything...

Re: Time varying source
Hi, thank you very much. In the meantime I found out, and I was able to run with the following EMITIMES file: YYYY MM DD HH DURATION(hhhh) #RECORDS YYYY MM DD HH MM DURATION(hhmm) LAT LON HGT(m) RATE(/h) AREA(m2) HEAT(w) 2018 11 22 14 0001 12 2018 11 22 14 00 0100 37.5 15.0 3300 74270634.42 0.0 0.0 ...

Time varying source
Hi, is it possible to set up a time-varying source with a time variation resolution < 1 hour, both in terms of emission rate and location (e.g. height)? I am aware of the options explained in the manual at page 193 ("Time Variation of the Emission Rate") but: - with the EFILE option, apparently I ca...
