Re: Convert to Station
Ok, this means the executable is working. Try removing what you have added in the UNIX X-windows directory. I don't have anything in that box on my system. When you follow the steps in the GUI to create the con2stn.txt file, does it create in your working directory despite seeing the xterm window po...

Re: 14.2 Simulation Problem
Hi there, So the issue with the hysplit version is that a few of the executables did not compile correctly, and therefore they did not work when called in theGUI. The new version (5.0.0b) has the correctly compiled executables so all the functions within the GUI should work now. In the 14.2 simulati...

Re: Convert to Station
Hi Kyle,
In the command line, navigate to /hysplit/exec folder.
Type: ./con2stn
You should see the USAGE info pop up for the executable. Do you see this?
Even though you are having this xterm window issue, is the con2stn.txt file created with the appropriate data?

Re: Ex. 16 Issue - Simulation stopped
The message file your provided says the simulation completed normally so I don't think this is the message file for this simulation. Regardless, I used your emitimes file and control file along with my setup file, and the simulation ran smoothly. The spacing of the 00 36 or 0036 does not matter. It ...

Re: sequential runs for volcanic eruptions
No, you cannot automate using the pardump files in the GUI, but you can automate using scripts in the terminal!
You can automate using the emitimes files, as Roland is showing in section 16.5.
