Try to attach the files here so I can run a test.

Re: Problem setting up cluster analysis
Open the text files TCLUS and TNOCLUS. TCLUS lists the trajectories clustered. TNOCLUS lists the trajectories not clustered, usually because of the 'Hours to cluster' and "Trajectory skip" inputs. If all the trajectories were used, TCLUS would be the same as INFILE. Because it says "Pass 1 out of 1"...

Re: Combining traj/freq at same location, different years
I am not quite clear on your question. The trajectory frequency program will run on the endpoints files listed in the file INFILE (see https://www.ready.noaa.gov/documents/Tutorial/html/traj_freq.html) whether they are sequential days or not. For example if you run trajectories for every days in Jun...

Re: FTP failed
As given in the GUI, the nam12 archive began in 2007, but you are requesting data from 2005. Please try EDAS instead for 2005. README files for our archives are at https://www.ready.noaa.gov/archives.php.

Re: Comparison between model results obtained three or more years later
The mixed layer depth is in the meteorology file, and the archives have not been changed. How much different are the trajectories?

Re: Trajectory frequency plot
The error message is implying there is more than one trajectory in a tdump file. Is that the case? For example multiple starting heights. The frequency program can only handle one trajectory per tdump file.

Re: Measuring radionuclide dispersal
The online version does not have this capability. Since you are a new HYSPLIT user, you should go through the Tutorial at https://www.ready.noaa.gov/HYSPLIT_Tutorials.php. See Section 15.1 for details.

Re: Backward trajectory error
The gdas0p5 would give some of the error - due to horizonal resolution, however we don't know the error in the gdas0p5. You need to know the real (observed) winds in order to know the error. You could compare model winds to some soundings over a long period of time and then estimate how that error c...
