The model can be evaluated with tracer experiments (an example is given when you download the code under the "datem" directory) or, depending on the application, with the data that you might have available. Unfortunately you will have to choose one option at the time. They cannot be chosen simultaneously.

It is probably a memory issue. I would suggest trying with a lower number of particles to evaluate if that is the problem.

The reanalysis data is updated once a month. We just updated the data until August 2019.

Our meteorological data are only in ARL format binary files.
