Re: run model until all particles exit domain
The run will stop if all particles exit the meteorological domain, but not necessary the concentration domain. This is due to the fact that particles may recirculate back into the concentration domain. If you are interested in making the meteorological domain smaller, then you can use the utility pr...

Re: FTP failed
Thank you for bringing this up. We have a permission issue on our end that users can't enter the 2021 subdirectory for the WRF27km files. I will contact our IT to get this fixed. Another thing to note is that the WRF27km files are released one month at a time with a three month delay. WRF27km files ...

Re: Odor Source Back Trajectory
Your setup seems fine. You may want to consider making multiple trajectories with multiple starting heights. HRRR is the highest resolution met product that we have available on READY, so that is a good choice. I suggest comparing HRRR winds with observations to get an idea on model error. Note that...

Re: Unable to generate Control Files for Geolocation in GUI
Or place the HYSPLIT directory here: ${HOME}/hysplit
and the tutorial directory here: ${HOME}/Tutorial
so you won't have to edit those lines in every bash script in the tutorial.

Re: Incorrect Trajectory
Also, as Roland has mentioned a few times, if you are having problems you can hit the reset button, exit out of HYSPLIT and start it up again, and/or clean up the working directory and then start setting up your simulation from scratch. That last option will be discussed later during the workshop.

Re: Incorrect Trajectory
Assuming you are using HYSPLIT Version 5.1.0, my guess is that you missed setting one or more settings described in the tutorial. I suggest you continue to follow along with Roland so you don't fall behind and then go back to do this part of the tutorial another time. You can run the batch file to q...

Re: HYSPLIT 5.1.0 - Win7 not working correctly
Pressing reset will use the default starting locations, which consist of 3 locations for trajectory simulations and 1 location for concentration simulations.
