Re: Extra information on output post-script files
No, but I'm sure you could write some scripts that use the HYSPLIT and PC commands to read the info needed and write the config file.

Re: Concentration and dispersion using Hysplit
Yes, everything that is on the web-based version is possible in the PC version. In fact, the PC version can do more than the web-based version since we need to limit some functionality on the web. You will need to review the HYSPLIT Workshop training materials and the User's Guide for details. Links...

Re: Concentration and dispersion using Hysplit
Unfortunately not. Because this is a shared user system, we have to limit the length of the concentration run to 48 hours for any one user.

Re: Extra information on output post-script files
Yes you can. From the GUI, select Advanced/Configuration Setup/Panel Labels. This will create a file called MAPTEXT.CFG that is read by the display program (concplot and trajplot). Only specific lines of the file are read by each display program so you cannot just add lines and expect them to be dis...

Re: NPP
I think you are getting release duration and sampling interval confused. The sampling output (averaging time) that you would use depends on what you will be comparing your HYSPLIT results with. For example, if you have a sampler in the field that is picked up every day than you would want to set the...

Re: Liquid dispersion in Hysplit
An intriguing problem. How long does it remain as an aerosol? As an aerosol you could define it as a particle with a diameter and density and in this case the shape factor will really be one. The tricky part would be if it turns to a gas. You can define two pollutants on the same computational parti...

Re: Ensemble starting heights
The standard atmosphere goes much higher. In the HYSPLIT sigma-height coordinate, the model top is 25 km, that is why 0.01 sigma = 250 m
