Re: ./hysplit4.tcl

If you are in the working directory, you should create a soft link
ln -s ../guicode/hysplit4.tcl .
so when you type ./hysplit4.tcl the GUI will open.

Re: Compute particle loading in the domain

Please take a look at the MESSAGE file. When you reach the main computation, the MESSAGE file will show a series of outputs that look like the following:
NOTICE main: 1 44039103 125 4.9999949E-02

The last column represents the total mass that the model is computing.

Re: FATAL ERROR: File not found:cdump

You are getting that message because the GUI is trying to find a concentration file that has not been generated. Please make sure you are generating a cdump file with some content on it. The GUI will not close when you close your GS window. It is supposed to continue working so you can do other calc...

Re: Uncertainty along trajectory endpoint

This "noise" function or dispersion/turbulent component is a function of time and ws stdev. The uncertainty, as you mentioned in your comment, increases as you go further back in time. In principle, the concentration mode is just a group of trajectories that have a turbulent component included in th...
