Re: datem file format

Thank you for the reply, I imagined that the header was unread but it looked well formatted. My review of this topic continues since I now have my observations in datum format. I would like to run the following executables: con2stn, timeplot, c2datem, statmain, and scatter with the observations and ...

datem file format

Hello,

I am writing code to reformat observations into datum format to be used for model statistics. I am wondering if the file needs header data to work properly or if the executable will work regardless of header data?

Opening output in Matlab or grads

Does anyone have experience taking Hysplit output and plotting it in Matlab or grads? I am interested to know what it would take.

values for cmax in conprob utility

Hello, I would like to enter my own values for cmax when processing ensemble results with conprob. I would like to enter values that correspond to PM2.5 concentration values for cmax but these would all be positive exponents with the exception of the lowest value. The documentation says that any val...

Re: CONTROL options

So in essence if I just keep my settings as is - with two varied input resolutions and one output resolution, the output is being interpolated down to scale for the area of the domain where only the course resolution exists as input? But I could change this to have output match input domains by addi...

Re: CONTROL options

I guess I am still a bit confused about this. Based on your explaination this is how I understand it now. If I have a large 3-km nest and a smaller 1-km nest for input and I produce output for a region that encompasses both grids at 1.0km then my output is at 1.0km for the entire output grid. But if...

CONTROL options

I am wondering about option 15 (from users guide) in the CONTROL file: Number of simultaneous concentration grids. Is this for the output or input? I defined my grid with two nested model domains. From the users guide though it says if you define your grid over grids with differing resolution, hyspl...

Hysplit Ensemble Issues

Hello, I just began running hysplit ensemble cases but I am running into a few issues. 1. I can get the serial ensemble (hycs_ens) to run fine but when I try to run the parallel version (hycm_ens) I get a signal 15 error. Apparently there is an issue reading some input file. I got a similar message ...
