routine for direct access to meteo data

Hi, I'm trying to read meteorological fields from ARL format files. My purpose is to know the meteorological state during the release period and for the domain of my simulation. Particularly I would know the stability parameters in the PBL . Finally I'd like to have a sort of map of the stability in...

Boundary condition at ground level

Hi everybody,

I have a question, is it possible to use a simple boundary condition such that when a particle reach the ground its evolution ends and its landing position is saved? A sort of deposition without activating the deposition model.

thank you in advance

Vertical Mixing Coefficients

Hi everybody Reading the Hysplit technical guide it seems that, using the Beljaars-Holtslag expressions for vertical mixing coefficients, the K profile at each grid point is replaced with its vertical average. Is it possible to use this method anyway avoiding such a vertical average? thank you in ad...

Download meteorological datasets from command line

Hi, I'm an Hysplit newbie, up to now I downloaded meteorological datasets from the ARL ftp server using the GUI on my computer. Now I need to download them on a cluster, without a GUI but from the linux command line. Some questions: 1) Should I ask for a further permission to download on this cluste...
