Re: Why are some "good" trajectories not clustered?

Thank you.

A skip of "1 is used.
In the total 62 trajectories, 4 of them looks "good" but not used or missed in the final cluster results.

Why are some "good" trajectories not clustered?

Some trajectories seem good, but not are clustered or excluded by the current HYSPLIT cluster algorithm.
In fact, these trajectories are close to the clustered mean trajectory.
Why are these 'good' trajectories not clustered?
Is there a way to include them?

Thanks for your assistance.

Re: Different heights and duration time of trajectories

Dear Barbara, Thank you. For sure, the transport duration time of aloft aerosol plumes are different due to their height differences. To get more reliable cluster results, should I set the same duration time and same starting height for the HYSPLIT backward trajectory run? I doubt that with the same...

Different heights and duration time of trajectories

One question is about if or not I can make a cluster analysis on those backward trajectories starting from the same site (same lat and longitude) but having different heights and duration time. Though the HYSPLIT/cluster can be run through, such cluster analysis process make sense or not? Thank you....

trajectory starting point setup (duration / height) ?

I'm running Cluster analysis for the transported aerosol trajectories at one observing site. The latitude and longitude are same for the starting point, e.g. site information, but when running HYSPLIT backward trajectories, the height and duration may be set differently for the different aloft aeros...
