Re: wish: not found, netcdf not found

Thank you for the quick reply. I have the gui loading properly now, thank you, but I am still having trouble understanding the proper use/placement of the netcdf libraries. I only have the gfortran compiler that came with gnu-gcc on the Fedora 22 I am running. I compiled netcdf and hysplit using tha...

wish: not found, netcdf not found

I have successfully installed HYSPLIT per the execution of xrun.scr and viewing results.ps but 1) I can not get the program to find the netcdf libraries. Additionally, 2) the compile.sh script is not successful in creating the link to the hysplit gui, ./hysplit4.tcl. I followed the instructions to m...

Missing Days in NARR

I have found a few days missing from the NARR ARL data set thus far and continue to find them in various months and years. It is a sporadic problem but appears to be linked to the NARR data set itself. For instance, try to run a back trajectory for May 30 or May 31, 2003 in the NARR data set. The on...

Re: NARR2ARL

I am having a similar issue as eberndt trying to use the GUI to convert ARL data files. Also, there seems to be some inconsistencies in the documentation supporting the NARR conversion via the GUI. For example the following user guide: http://www.arl.noaa.gov/documents/reports/hysplit_user_guide.pdf...

Re: Back Trajectory Source Region

Thank you for your reply barbara.stunder. The forward trajectories from large emitters is an excellent idea. Unfortunately, my group is relying on the back trajectory methodology to identify emissions sources and these areas may include upwards of 100+ different sources. I was hoping for information...

Back Trajectory Source Region

The project I am working on utilizes back trajectories to analyze pollution sources contributing to ozone in my area. Overall the goal of my group is to identify major players (e.g., power plants, industry, etc.). I am hoping to give reliable geographical data to guide my group's investigations and ...
