HYSPLIT runs but hysptest fails
Hello, I am trying to run some tests to figure out the final configuration for my HYSPLIT runs, particularly what the final NUMPAR value should be. From my understanding, I want to have this number high enough to give HYSPLIT a good starting point. My end-goal is to figure out the optimal HYSPLIT co...

Re: Using Ensemble tools for events
Is the output files of conprob the same format as the cdump files used as input? I've been using the MONETIO package for reading the cdump files and I'm hoping that I could use that same package for the conprob files.

Re: Creating a consistent CONUS grid
Doing the HYSPLIT run over a lat-lon in New York City resulted in the first image.
The second image was after using `conmerge` to combine the two files.
Thank you again for the clarification.

Re: Creating a consistent CONUS grid
Thank you for the explanation. I went ahead and dug into the header of my cdump files and re-ran HYSPLIT changing only the span in each. After doing so I was able to see what you were talking about (in the red box in the image attached). I am now going to try combining an east coast emission with th...

Creating a consistent CONUS grid
In my project I am trying to create a consistent concentration grid that covers CONUS. I will have emissions files for different fire events and want to be able to perform statistics on the results. For example, I have one fire event happening at (lat lon) = (36.1419 -118.1856) In the CONTROL, I set...

EMITIMES character limits
Are there character limits for columns in the emissions file? For example, if I want to emit for a week, and the second emissions header is "DURATION(hhmm)", will a corresponding entry of "16800" (ie. 168 hours and 0 minutes) work?

Using Ensemble tools for events
Can you use these ensemble tools when the individual member is an event, ie. an individual wildfire event? So each member is a different fire, ie. different start/end time and location, where my goal is to run HYSPLIT for thousands (maybe millions) of fires, and I'd like to calculate probabilities o...
