Exciting! So in principle that could be used to calculate dispersion from a gridded inventory, couldn't it? Those inventories (e.g. for CH4 emissions) often come in NetCDF format. Are there even tools in HYSPLIT to read such inventories directly or for conversion to EMITIMES format?

Is there a way of specifying time-dependent emissions (i.e. variable strength, height, composition, ...) right from the start? Or do you need to restart with an adjusted setup for each change in one of the emission parameters (as shown in 16.2)?

How is the simulation decomposed for the parallel version - by domain / by particles / ...? Are there any special settings the user needs to take care of, e.g. for load balancing?
