EASY! thank you very much!sonny.zinn wrote: ↑April 21st, 2021, 7:18 amYou can specify a process ID for each run. For example, "hycs_std 1000" expects CONTROL.1000, SETUP.1000, etc.

How to run isolated simulations to allow several simulations at the same time
Hello everyone again! I just wondering how to deal with several simulations at the same time. I am using some python codes to prepare HYSPLIT simulations but in the end, I need to define one "CONTROL" file and execute hycs_std. My point is that, If I ran one simulation during the execution of the pr...

Re: feeding emissions from spatial and temporal varying sources
Thanks for the clarification, I've finally used the EMITIME file because Is less complex and quite straightforward than use PARDUMP and binary files for my marine-atmosphere application. I've fed hysplit with the results of my marine model: evolution of the centre of mass of the spill, substance eva...

con2cdf3 and con2cdf4 year issue
Good morning! I am using con2cdf in order to convert hysplit binary to netcdf and I found that this conversion program only works if simulation dates are between 2000 and 2099. I guess because of the definition of the years with only two numbers "YY" could be possible to add some extra argument to t...

Re: feeding emissions from spatial and temporal varying sources
Thank you for the link to your python repo! I was busy with others task and I am now resuming these developing... sorry for that! I am trying to use Pardump with different positions and rates each hour or 30 min in order to set up my emissions. So I am trying to use your .write() method using the op...

feeding emissions from spatial and temporal varying sources
Hello again, I am trying to link some emissions rates [g/h] as inputs of hysplit. I found 2 possible ways: 1- Through EMITIMES, defining several blocks per hour: YYYY MM DD HH DURATION(hhhh) #RECORDS YYYY MM DD HH MM DURATION(hhmm) LAT LON HGT(m) RATE(/h) AREA(m2) HEAT(w) 2021 03 16 09 0001 3 2021 0...

Re: arw2arl: Output time interval not constant
You are totally right!
The nc file was incomplete. I was able to download the last forecast using wget in linux terminal and the conversion works fine!
Sorry about the waste of time and thank you very much for checking my error and reply to the post!
Best regards,

arw2arl: Output time interval not constant
Hi everybody! I am trying to convert the WRF standard output from a Spanish data provider ( http://mandeo.meteogalicia.es/thredds/catalogos/WRF/catalog_raw.html ) to hysplit format and the following error appears: ./arw2arl -i../../files/wrfout_d01_20210204_0000.nc -oARL.BIN Using an existing decodi...
