Re: Error: invalid command name ".f.f.text"

Still erroring. I reset the GUI, re-loaded captex_control.txt and captex_setup.txt, then went into Advanced -> Configuration Setup -> Concentration -> Menu 4 and set Particles released per cycle to 2500. Saved, then went to Concentration -> Special Runs -> Test Inputs. I hit "Analyze", then error ap...

Error: invalid command name ".f.f.text"

While doing Tutorial 8.5 Test and Optimize Input Files, I started to get a pop-up with the message Error: invalid command name ".f.f.text". I've attached the .log file, as well as the captex_control.txt and captex_setup.txt that I loaded at the beginning of the tutorial. I followed the instructions ...

How is height converted to pressure when using hybrid sigma-pressure levels?

My input data is on hybrid sigma-pressure levels, similar to ECMWF (vertical coordinate system flag 4). How is the final column of the trajectory endpoints file, 'PRESSURE', calculated? I would like to be able to plot my source data in either height or pressure coordinates, but I want to make sure t...

Strange output when hitting the ground

I'm running HYSPLIT trajectories on Linux (compiled from source code, Last Changed Rev 1011), using data I've converted from the Community Atmosphere Model v4 to ARL with MeteoInfo. Many of my trajectories are close to the ground, so I expect some to hit ground, but I am confused by the output produ...

Accommodation for no-leap calendars

I'm using MeteoInfo to convert netCDF files output by the Community Atmosphere Model, version 4, into ARL format to use with HYSPLIT. The script that I use was based in part on the WRF to ARL script found here: http://meteothink.org/examples/meteoinfolab/trajectory/wrfout2arl.html. However, I notice...
