Re: Xlib error

I am not familiar with this error, but first let us start with checking your directory settings. Please make sure your directories are set correctly, and be sure the unix x-windows directory is left blank. This might be the source of the problems. As a reminder, this is found under Advanced > Config...

Re: Meteorological data profile

Remove the space in Hysplit Workshop. Substitute with something like Hysplit_Workshop and that should solve your problem. Generally spaces in Directory and file names cause a problem. Please let us know if you have any more issues.

Re: Mac OS Catalina: ps to pdf conversion keeps failing

You can also check that the trajplot executable is working. Cd into your /hysplit/working/ directory where all the tdump files are located that you have been creating. Then type this: Screen Shot 2021-06-15 at 3.56.21 PM.png You should see complete Trajplot at the bottom of the command line, and the...

Re: Mac OS Catalina: ps to pdf conversion keeps failing

So the gui is creating the postscript file, yet you still cannot open it if you are in preview, scroll to the trajplot.ps file in the finder window and select it? If you cannot open that way, it seems it may be a preview problem. This might be the fix you need: https://macreports.com/preview-the-fil...

Re: Mac OS Catalina: ps to pdf conversion keeps failing

Can you do a reset, and close out of the gui? Then try starting the gui again, and re-doing a run from scratch with which you are having this issue. If the issue is not resolved, are you seeing the postscript file generated in your working directory? If so, you should be able to click on it from fin...

Re: Incorrect Trajectory

This is recorded, so please do not worry about trying to get everything working in real time. You can review the recording later, pause it as necessary, and get the gui working for you. Also remember, all the saved files are located in the /tutorial/files directory so you can find the saved control ...

Re: Incorrect Trajectory

We need a bit more information to go on here, can you upload your graphic and provide a bit more information about which part of the tutorial you are referencing? We may need some other documents as we work with you to resolve the issue. Thanks!

Re: Error using Display Data/Text File

Please double check the location of the captex2_wrf27uw.bin - be sure the file is in the location you specified. You might also want to remove the space in your directory name Hysplit Tutorial. It should probably be changed to Hysplit_Tutorial. Generally spaces in directory and file names are proble...

Re: Mac OS Catalina: enable Hysplit to be a 'safe' program

I don't believe there is a way to set it as a safe program. I believe you have to do what you are doing, each time you run a new executable, it will ask for your permission. As Roland said, this only happens once so for all subsequent uses, you will not need to give approval. Sorry for this cumberso...
