Total accumulated mass
I want to calculate the total deposited mass in a month. I have output the cdump file containing the level 0 data to txt file using con2asc.exe(con2asc.exe -s -d). I have then multiplied each grid point data with the grid resolution. Is this the correct procedure? The problem I am having is, with th...

Re: MAXPAR/NUMPAR upper limit
It indeed an insightful reading. Thank you for the explaining it descriptively. It cleared up my doubts.

Re: MAXPAR/NUMPAR upper limit
I have some confusion in the deposition. So when we set the pollutant as a particle by assigning the diameter, density, etc; then aren't these properties assigned to the particles we are releasing? i.e the particles defined in the CONTROL file are different from the particles being released? In that...

Re: MAXPAR/NUMPAR upper limit
Thank you for the clarification. I have release rate of ~60000 g/hr from a city area. I calculated the particle number as: x*density*volume of 1 particle = release rate = 60000 , where x denotes the no. of particles. a)So is the NUMPAR an assumed number and not the actual no. of particles being rele...

MAXPAR/NUMPAR upper limit
I am trying to run a particle dispersion. Particle released per cycle ~ 1.97E+21. I have only one source. However when I set this number in NUMPAR and then the MAXPAR accordingly, the model just stops with an error sound with no further calculation. Model started ... HYSPLIT4 - Initialization Last C...

GFS met error
I get error messages while checking the met file in all the sub menus( Meteorology-> Display Data->Check File/Contour Map/Text Profile/Grid Domain) I am using 0.25 degree GFS data. Even though trajectory/ dispersion runs works properly. Error message: could not read "{E:/HYSPLIT METEROLOGY}/20160513...

Area Source
Hello. I want to show the dispersion of particulate matter considering the city as area source. How should i set this in the model ? Is there an option? Also, is there any difference between dispersion with area and point sources?
