Emission of multiple groups of particles in time
Hi, A simulation of trajectories in HYSPLIT allows to track the positions of a certain number of particles during the simulation time, but I would like to know if there is a way to get a new emission of a group of lagrangian particles with the same positions, one group after another. I mean, I start...

Re: Ending trajectories after reaching a 0 mts height.
I understand. I'm thinking on making some kind of deposition rate above water, that's why I thought on this question. I have some ideas like just eliminating the next position after a particle touch 0 m (which would be surface water). But I had to ask first here if there were other way, thanks!

Ending trajectories after reaching a 0 mts height.
Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to end particles trajectories as soon as they touch the surface, I've seen that there are particles that keep their direction after touching the surface.
Thank you very much,
Christian

Re: Y-axis problem
The short answer is no. I had to take my output matrix to another graphical software like Paraview in my case.

Question about meteorology output along trajectory
Hello, I have meteorology output along with trajectories, and I can see the values at the exact position in the simple listing. I'm using wrf output as input for hysplit and I was wondering, how hysplit extract meteorology variables at exact height (like 546.4 mts for example) since wrf output use s...

Time step issue
Hello, I'm using wrf outputs of 10 minutes. I converted them to ARL and they seems ok, but when I doing trajectory simulations in HYSPLIT, the tdump output interval is of 1 hour instead of every ten minutes, giving smooth trajectories. I modified the time step to 10 minutes in the configuration setu...

Y-axis problem
Hello! I'm finally getting my trajectories graphics and seems quit great. But I have a tiny problem with the Y-axis of "cross-section" chart when using pressure as a vertical coordinate. The initial position of my particles (which in my case is from above) is out of the chart. It seems like the char...

Re: arw2arl for PC HYSPLIT
Hi, a last update!
A modification in Makefile from arw2arl solved the problem. The arw2arl executable was created.
The line changed was:
LINKS = -L$(NETLIB) -lnetcdff -L ../../metprog/library -lhysplit
to
LINKS = -L$(NETLIB) -lnetcdff -lnetcdf -lz -L ../../metprog/library -lhysplit

Re: arw2arl for PC HYSPLIT
Hi, this is an update. I heard somewhere that the library in the metprog should be compiled previous to the arw2arl, so I did the make on library. Then I did the make in arw2arl and had the next error: /home/christian/Documentos/modelo/netcdf/lib/libnetcdff.a(fort-attio.o): En la función `nf_put_att...
