Re: ADD_DATA from the EXEC collection does not add station data (out of boundary error)
Hi. The add_data utility is not built to handle ARL files that have a latitude and longitude coordinate system, so it won't work for global ARL files. We will consider adding this functionality into a future HYSPLIT release.

Re: HYSPLIT not proceeding when using EMITIMES
The EMITIMES file you attached is the same one from the tutorial. The dates don't match up with your CONTROL file.

Re: ACCESS-G to ARL conversion
I am not aware of anyone working on an ACCESS-G to ARL convertor. If you develop one, we would be happy to include it in future HYSPLIT releases for other users to use.

Re: When using STILT (ichem=8), cmass gets forced to 1 (mass) even when you set it to 0
Correct, HYSPLIT forces CMASS=1 when run with ICHEM=8. However, running with ICHEM=8, particles are still divided by the air density to output a mixing ratio output field.

Re: Running STILT Configuration Using User-Defined Meteorology
Your CONTROL file is setup to write average concentrations every 0 hours to the cdump file, which can't be done. Change your CONTROL file to the following to write out average concentrations every 13 hours: 25 03 24 22 1 40.0000 -90.0000 150.0 -13 0 10000.0 1 /storage/group/zrb5027/default/Permian/j...

Re: Particles not wrapping around with global met fields
Are you running HYSPLIT with Linux or Windows executables? Updated source code and executables for Linux are now available on Ready. This update is Version 5.3.4.

Re: Particles not wrapping around with global met fields
Thank you! I was able to reproduce your bug, found when and where this entered into the code, and created a bug fix for this issue. This bug occurs when running a dispersion simulation with IDSP=2 for HYSPLIT versions 5.3.0, 5.3.1, 5.3.2, and 5.3.3. We are currently putting together new HYSPLIT dist...

Re: Particles not wrapping around with global met fields
Hi, I was able to successfully use HYSPLIT Version 5.3.0 to run a backward trajectory simulation and a backward dispersion simulation that passed through the dateline with a 1 degree GDAS file that is archived at NOAA ARL (https://www.ready.noaa.gov/data/archives/gdas1/). For dispersion simulations,...

Re: Vehicle emission concentration
1) For area sources, you want to use an EMITIMES file. See directions on how to setup an EMITIMES file in the user guide: https://www.ready.noaa.gov/hysplitusersguide/S417.htm Creating and using an EMITIMES file is also discussed in the online HYSPLIT Basic Tutorial: https://www.ready.noaa.gov/HYSPL...
