Re: Issue with GRIB data from new ECMWF data server?
Hi, it's me again. I resolved the issue. I managed to transform the ecmwf files using the command line. I just put everything into the working directory (ecmwf files, ecm2arl exec), define the working directory in the command line with the chdir command and then use the -i -s -e -c and the other set...

Re: Issue with GRIB data from new ECMWF data server?
Hi again, I'm so sorry to ask again but I somehow cannot manage with the command line (is there any tutorial on how to use that?). I write exec\ecm2arl -i3D.grib -s2DA.grib -e2DF.grib -cINV.grib and then the other parameters (if I do not want to change them the values in the <> are used I assume). H...

thanks for your help, I try it from the comand line then. I always just used the GUI.

Re: Issue with GRIB data from new ECMWF data server?
yes they are. How to add two files (2D forecast and analysis) into the converter? The invariant is 6 kB, 2d forecast is 204 kb, 2d analysis is 610 and 3d is 2235 kb. I downloaded both forecast and analysis data from the ERA website, but by doing so the time error occurs again. I need the precipitati...

Re: Issue with GRIB data from new ECMWF data server?
Hi! I had the same problem with the ERA files, and after reading this post I re-installed Hysplit to have the newer version. Just to be clear: I have still to download the 2D forecast fields (time 00/12, step 6/12) and the 2D analysis fields (time 00/06/12/18, step 0) separately and add them in the ...

ERA conversion
Hi! I converted ERA files to the ARL format using the Hysplit converter. I downloaded the 2d, 3d, and the invariant files observing the time and steps specified here in the forum (otherwise Hysplit didn't read the output.) That is: 2D analysis fields time 00/06/12/18, step 0 2D forecast fields time ...

Re: Conversion of sulfur dioxide to sulfate
Hi again!
I think my emission height was too high, when I change it to 1000 m I have the cdump file and the concplot and can visualize it.
So maybe that was the issue.
Greetings from Iceland

Conversion of sulfur dioxide to sulfate
Hello! I am trying to do a conversion from SO2 to sulfate following your tutorial about Eyjafjallajökull, but with my own data. The model runs 100% (even though quite quickly) and when I want to display the output, the concplot.ps error message shows up. Looking up for the same error message in the ...

Re: Deposition - graphical output
Hi! Thanks for the answer. I am going through all the files available in order to create my own emission file and I am just not sure about the meaning of some numbers. This is the example which can be found in the chemistry module, folder "Fixed", named NOx_VOC_SO2. I am not sure what the first 2 nu...

Re: Deposition - graphical output
Hi! I worked at my model and could now execute both of the examples you showed me above. My question is now about the chemical module, not changed since the 1990 and the reference publications are Rolph, Draxler and De Pena (1993) and Rolph and Draxler (1992). I downloaded the module and looked thro...
