Re: dust

yes, it is an acceptable methodology which has been used in Escudero, Stein and Draxler article[https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/a ... via%3Dihub] with the previous version of dust algorithm.

Deposition Amount Calculation

I want to Calculate the amount of dust deposition in a specific time period (in my case it is one month). To that end, I have set the deposition value base on density and diameter of my dust particle and also I consider the 0m level in height level as described in the online tutorial (https://ready....

Re: calculating PSCF FORWARD TRAYECTORIES

Actually, I think you should use Kernel density analysis tool in Arc Map software instead of PSCF for forward trajectories. for more detailed information I suggest you read Mc.Gowan 2008 article

Re: How can I get trajectory map for 30-year with NCAR reanalysis data?

Hi
you can use daily run in Trajectory--> Special run--> daily and do it monthly instead of daily. it will help you to run all your given period in 2 days or so.
About extracting the days with precipitation among all your "tdump" files I suggest you use a Python Script.

Eulerian Approach

Hi As we know the HYSPLIT is a Lagrangian Model and calculate Trajectories and concentrations through Lagrangian equations. puff(lagrangian-Gaussian and Lagrangian-top hat) and particle(Lagrangian-trajectory) model are the models which HYSPLIT use. but the question is that in the Draxler and Hess 19...

soil-dust density (K) and emission area (A) in alternate emission algorithm

Hi I have a question about the "soil-dust density (K)" and "emission area (A)" in alternate emission algorithm. Is "emission area (A)" constant parameter? for example in one of the global points file -Potential points of Feb- there are 27421 points with a resolution of 0.25 degree (about 25 Km), a p...
