HYSPLIT Forum: hysplitbbs.arl.noaa.gov

The default land use category is 1-12 in hysplit model, while the land use defined by WPS has 1-24 category(USGS).
Does the hysplit model can use the 1-24 category land use and how to setting the params?

@Fintine Because my wrfout are many single hour nc file, one file has 600M, so I don't want to merge the wrfout file together.

If you want to manipulate the date, what you did should be the proper way. The conversion program reads the date info from WRF output file to "tvar" (character array) and passes the year to "yy" (integer variable). And then it is packed to the ARL file.
