Re: Getting .kmz (google earth) file with installed version

Does this option work for backtrajectories, and not only for concentration runs? Also, I suppose this would allow me to get a .kmz file for the last run when running the Special Run-Daily setup (1 traj/day during a month)? If I am correct, is there a way to get a kmz file for each of the backtraject...

Getting .kmz (google earth) file with installed version

Hello,

I am running the Daily backtrajectories using Hysplit on Mac and would like to know if there is a way to get the .kmz file as an output, as I used to do when running the online version of Hysplit? I did not find the option in the Advanced setup.

Thank you very much!

Re: Hysplit installation

All right, many thanks for your time & dedication! Do you know if any work has been done on comparing the Hysplit and Flexpart models for backtrajectories computing? The only paper I found was Pagano et al, 2010 or 2011.

Thank you,

C.

Re: Hysplit installation

In default_exec I changed #Tcl_source_dir from /Users/macbook/Hysplit4/guicode to /Library/Frameworks/Tk.framework/Versions/8.6/Resources which is where the Wish.app version 8.6.4 is, and I get the following error: " Error in startup script: couldn't read file "/Library/Frameworks/Tk.framework/Versi...

Re: Hysplit installation

Thank you for your answers. I downloaded Tcl/Tk version 8.6 on their website (ActiveTcl8.6.4.1.299124-macosx10.5-i386-x86_64-threaded.dmg) and installed it after having removed the Tcl and Tk directories from my system (found them thanks to the path written in the 2nd line of the error message; cf. ...

Re: Hysplit installation

I get the same error message doing this; I joined a .txt file where I copied the "problem details and system configuration" I get.
Thanks!

Re: Hysplit installation

Yes. I tried to run a classical setup, with OCT1618.bin as input data, and a 36h backward trajectory starting 95/10/17 23 (YY/MM/DD HH), then 16/05/01 12. I let default options for top of model, vertical motion method and output file.
Thank you!

Backward trajectories starting point: height issue

Hello, I am running backward trajectories on Hysplit with a high altitude starting point (Chacaltaya, Bolivian Andes; latitude 16° 20' 47'' S, longitude 68° 07' 44'' W, height according to Google Earth ~5350m). I plotted terrain height along trajectory with the vertical plot height units in Meters A...

Re: Hysplit installation

Thank you very much, Hysplit does launch now; however, the trajectory calculation test (trajectory -> quick start -> run example) does not work, Wish shutting down unexpectedly when I launch the test: "child killed: segmentation violation child killed: segmentation violation while executing "exec $e...
