Re: trajectories
Hello, first of all thank you for your reply. I read the suggested posts but I've the problem that I can't set ICHEM=8 because I've to keep it equal to 5. About your question: I would like to compute statistics on quantities that are intrinsically lagrangian, it is not source attribution application...

trajectories
Hello, I have a simple question and I'will be grateful to any suggestion: I would like to use the hysplit model in the dispersion mode but I'm interested in trajectories rather than concentrations, what is the best way to access this information? I used the PARDUMP file but it seems to be thought to...

Re: AGL to sigma coordinates conversion
I forgot to specify that, as meteorological dataset, I'm using the NARR reanalysis in the ARL Hysplit format, downloaded from your site.
Thank you in advance,

AGL to sigma coordinates conversion
Hi, I have two questions about the conversion from AGL to sigma terrain-following internal coordinates. 1- this conversion is done several times in the code but in the PAROUT subroutine it seems to be done differently than before, i.e. the scaling factor is the top of the model height instead of the...

Re: Boundary condition at ground level
Ok, thank you for clarifying my doubts.
Don't you think that keeping a fixed value for the surface layer height can be a too strong restriction?
Thanks for your replies

Re: Boundary condition at ground level
Ok, but what layer are we dealing with? Is it the surface layer (second internal model layer usually set around 75m heigh )? It is possible to set its thickness?
Thank you for the reply

Enhance precision using con2asc utility
Hi everybody!
When I run the con2asc utility to access to concentration values few meaningful digits are used, is it possible to enhance output values precision?
Thank you in advance

Re: Boundary condition at ground level
Thank you for the suggestion but if I start the emission close to ground I think that with a very high deposition velocity all particles would be deposited immediately, because deposition is turned on in the surface layer (which default height is 75m in the model). I would like a model set up in whi...
