Hi I'm trying to get hysplit to run but it won't execute. $ tclsh8.5 hysplit4.tcl invalid command name "winfo" while executing "winfo child ." invoked from within "eval destroy [winfo child .]" (file "hysplit4.tcl" line 47) I can't figure out what the problem is, installation up until now seemed fine.

Did you figure this out? I'm having the same problem

When I run HYSPLIT from the website it gives the trajectories but the vertical height is always flat. What am I doing wrong? I've tried from a few different starting locations and dates.

When I choose tcl/tk it flashes a black window but closes within a second

It asks me to choose a program to open the file

I have tried that. I tried it again today and when i reinstall Hysplit after it is now asking me to choose a program to open with.

I have tried installing Hysplit a few times on my pc but when I try to run it the window flashes and then closes immediately. I installed the supporting programs first. I'm wondering if it is an unsupported release of Tcl/tk? The earliest I could get was 8.5.18.0 but the Hysplit site says the latest...
