Read Wind direction data from GDAS file
I need to read the wind direction data at one location at all altitude from GDAS1 meteorological data for 1 year period. Previously Yaqiang has posted a script to read the height of boundary layer height from GDAS1 file using MeteoInfo ( https://hysplitbbs.arl.noaa.gov/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=47 . That ...

Meteorological data downloading
I used to download meteorological data from the ftp site: ftp://gdas-server.iarc.uaf.edu/gdas1/ . How to generate multiple G-earth output file?
I obtained multiple output file through special runs-->daily. I want to get the Google earth output file for each result. What I am doing now is trajectory display-->G-Earth for each file manually.
Is there any easier way that I can get multiple file?
Thanks!

Option for vertical motion
Hi!
I noticed that there are 9 options for the method of vertical motion (input model data, isobaric, isentropic...). And the result will be very different with different options. Any one can tell me the principle to choose the method?
Many thanks in advance!
