Reference/documentation for source geolocation and source-receptor matrix

Hello, While the "source geolocation" (under trajectory statistics) and "source-receptor matrix approach" (under source attribution methods) in: http://www.ready.noaa.gov/documents/Tutorial/html/index.html are very useful tools, I spent some times to find out more detailed description or related the...

Re: strange results from "source-receptor matrix approach"

Hello,

I have overwritten the message file by another model run. When I delete all the files from my previous runs and run the given control file again, the modelling results are normal (i.e. < 100%) now, although I don't know why. So I think the problems were solved.

Thanks.

Peter

Re: No result using Concentration/Special Runs/Geolocation

Hello, Thanks for your reply. Further to my question 1 concerning the Source Geolocation (i.e. Section 5.4 of the online tutorial), I note that the method works for various sampling locations by examining the captex2_meas.txt file. Of course it is desirable to have a dataset of several sampling loca...

strange results from "source-receptor matrix approach"

Hello, My intention is to set up a case using the captioned approach in order to know what fraction of air concentration at Mauna Loa (i.e. the receptor) was contributed by a grid of sources located in South/southeast Asia (the control file attached). After I run the model, I set the lat. and long o...

No result using Concentration/Special Runs/Geolocation

Hello, I am new in using the above function. Two questions: 1. for Trajectory/Special Runs/Geolocation, I can run successfully my own case by modifying the "traj_fwrd_control.txt" and "captex2_meas.txt" in Section 5.4 of the Hysplit on-line tutorial. How can I adjust the output % of the Trajectory f...

Temporal varied emissions

Dear all, I want to set up a concentration run in Hysplit4 with temporal varied emissions at a single emission source, using the EMITIMES file with 99 "Emission Cycle Data Records". The content in my EMITIMES file is someting like: YYYY MM DD HH DURATION(hhhh) #RECORDS YYYY MM DD HH M DURATION(hhmm)...
